Parents/Guardians,
Welcome to Erie Migration District School! I hope your summer is off to a great start and you are doing well. As we bring Jack Miner Public School and Kingsville Public School together into a unified new school, we are presented with an opportunity to start something special and exciting! By combining the strengths and traditions of both Jack Miner Public School and Kingsville Public School, we are positioned very well to create a vibrant school where fond memories will be made by all.
As we embark on this exciting journey together, let us please embrace the spirit of community, connectedness, and collaboration. This is a chance for us to come together, share our unique experiences, and collaboratively build a positive school culture that is inclusive, supportive, inspiring, and fun! The transition to Erie Migration District School will come with some challenges, but with kindness, leadership, trust, and a concerted effort, we will overcome those challenges and we will thrive.
Starting Tuesday, September 3rd, Erie Migration District School will officially open its doors. This day marks the beginning of a new chapter where many students will learn, grow, and create lasting memories together. Our deeply dedicated staff will work collaboratively together to ensure that the transition is as smooth as possible. We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every student can shine.
Our new K-12 school will offer numerous opportunities for students to explore their interests and develop their talents. With enhanced resources and facilities, we aim to provide a comprehensive education that prepares students for future success. From academics to athletics, arts to technology, clubs to performances, Erie Migration District School is dedicated to offering a well-rounded education to all students.
As we prepare for the start of the school year, we recognize that change can be daunting; however, it is very important to approach this transition with a positive mindset and an open heart. Our combined efforts and positive attitude will ensure that Erie Migration District School becomes a place where everyone feels welcome and excited to be part of something special.
The office is tentatively set to open its doors on Monday, August 19th at 8:30 a.m. The office will be open daily Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. To keep everyone informed and up-to-date, we will be sharing important information through Edsby and School Messenger in late August. This will include details about classes, schedules, transportation, school policies, and other pertinent information needed to ensure a smooth transition. We encourage all parents and students to stay engaged and reach out with any questions. The school鈥檚 telephone number is: (519) 733-2347. We will be attending to many tasks and responsibilities so please leave a message if we don鈥檛 answer and someone will get back to you.
In closing, I want to extend a heartfelt welcome to all of you! The journey ahead is filled with so much promise, potential, and fun! I encourage everyone to approach this new beginning with excitement and optimism, knowing that the best is yet to come. If you are attending the school for drop off the first morning, I strongly encourage you to leave enough time. Parking will be limited, the bus bay and Kiss and Ride will be busy, and the school yard will surely be teeming with people. We look forward to seeing your children on Tuesday, September 3rd, ready to embark on this exciting new chapter at Erie Migration District School! Have a safe and happy summer.
