LST: Identified Students
If you have an IEP and require extra help, you can ask your teacher to sign you up for Learning Support. You can also contact Ms. Munson or Ms. Couvillon through Edsby.
SST: Student Success
If you do not have an IEP but need some additional help or need to catch up on your work in a particular class, you can ask your teacher for one-on-one support in Student Success. You can also reach out to the Student Success Teacher, Ms. Raymond, on Edsby to discuss support options.
ELL: English Language Learners
If English is not your first language and you require some extra support in your classes being delivered in English, you can contact Ms. Dixon-Snaden or Ms. Sikman. They are available to help you go over assignment expectations and may be able to provide you with additional time for tests and assignments in certain classes.
CYW – Ms. Hanik
If you are struggling with issues in school or in your personal life and need someone to talk to, use this resource that is available to you. Ms. Hanik is here in the building and is available to you on Edsby. Remember-Don’t panic…call Ms. Hanik!
Stangs Teaching Stangs Peer Tutoring Program-
Meetings are set after school hours at times that work for both the tutor and the student in need of support.
If you are struggling in any subject and would like to meet with a student who is proficient in this subject area, please contact Mrs. Raymond on Edsby. She will match you with a student from a bank of tutors and will set up a chat group for the two of you to communicate back and forth on Edsby. You can discuss the platform, days, and times that you would like to meet.
Math Help
uild your math skills and confidence with a personalized math coach. To support learning at home, tutors are available online Monday-Friday 9am to 9pm ET and 3:30pm to 9pm ET Sunday. Sign-up, choose a tutor, and get started. Tutors are offered for students grade 6-11.
Bio/Math/Physics/Chemistry/Functions Help – Gr. 11 or 12
SOS UWindsor -Students Offering Support is run by a volunteer group of students at the University of Windsor. They have created review packages for Chem, Bio, Physics, and Functions. Contact Massey’s SST Teacher on Edsby, Mrs. Raymond, if you would like her to send you a review package.
They also will also be holding FREE drop in tutoring over Zoom every Wednesday from 7-8pm starting September 22nd, 2021. They will have separate channels for Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Math, and Essay Writing. They are also offering biweekly tutoring for French. Students will be able to join the meeting anytime between 7-8pm, and they will have a team of student volunteers from each subject available to answer any questions students may have. Students can access the Zoom meeting at the first link below.

U of Windsor Engineering Department-Are you a Grade 11 or 12 student who needs additional academic support in your math, physics, or chemistry classes? One-hour sessions are being offered between 5 and 8 p.m. from Sundays to Thursdays over Microsoft Teams. Each session can accommodate up to two students. NCCE INC’S VIRTUAL YOUTH RESOURCE CENTRE – Virtual
Daily online academic support running Monday-Friday from 3:00-5:00pm, to include assignment interpretation, homework completion, and test preparation. YRC utilizes apps, video conferencing programs and social media platforms for online programming.
