Co-Operative Education:
Mrs. A. Bondy
Mr. J. Ruston
The student determines what area he/she would like to pursue (nursing, manufacturing, auto tech, media, etc) The teacher finds an organization/business/company that would be willing to "host" a co-op student. Cooperative education credits are tied to a related course in the curriculum that the student is concurrently taking or that they have already taken. Students begin by attending pre-employment orientation (resumes, cover letters, interviewing, health and safety, etc.) Integration/reflective learning sessions are scheduled throughout the semester. An interview is arranged for the student with a prospective employer. Work schedules vary for successful candidates (a.m., p.m., alternate days, etc.).
