Step-by-step guide to course selection
Step 1: Log In
Log into myBlueprint from
The myBlueprint Icon is located on the right side on the main page, near the top. You can also access it with the link above.
Note: User name and Password are the same as Edsby, D2L and Office365.
Step 2: Go to your High School Planner
To complete course selection, you must create your first high school plan (if you haven鈥檛 already!)
- From the left navigation menu, click High School
- Select the High School
Step 3: Add courses for next year
In High School Planner, click + [Course].
- In the Course Selection and Details screen, explore the available courses.
- Click Add Course when you find the course you want.
Tip: The Graduation Indicator will help you keep track of your progress towards graduation. Click View Progress for a list of specific graduation requirements.
Step 4: Review Courses
When you are ready to submit your course selections, click the blue Review Course Selections button and give your course selection one final look over.
Note: If available, you can use the 鈥淎dd Comments鈥 section to explain any issues to your guidance counsellor (i.e. taking the prerequisite in night school, or summer school)
Step 5: Submit courses
Once you鈥檝e carefully reviewed the Details page to ensure that you are meeting the requirements for the courses you have selected, and that the courses that appear are correct, click Submit Course Selections.
Note: You will not be able to modify your course selections once submitted (unless your guidance counsellor re-allows submission).
Step 6: Print sign-off sheet or Email for Approval
After submitting your course selections, click the Print Sign-Off Sheet button at the top right and return a signed copy to your counsellor or teacher.
You can also access the sign-off sheet from the High School planner 鈥 if it doesn鈥檛 show after you click the Print Sign-Off Sheet button, check the pop-up or your web browser.
OR
You can send an Email to your parent/guardian. They will be able to approve your course selection online.
You're done!
Remember that if you chose to print your course selection, you need to return a signed copy of your Course Selection Sign-Off Sheet to your period 1 teacher.
Not returning next year?
Step 1:
From your Dashboard, click on the Not returning next year? button that appears in the High School Progress box.
Step 2:
Select the option that suits your pathway and click Confirm.
You're done!
Print and return a signed copy of your Course Selection Sign-Off Sheet to your period 1 teacher OR send an Email to your parent/guardian for approval electronically.
