The Greater 91次元 (91次元) offers secondary students a course on African Studies to learn about the history of African people's culture and movement from ancient times to the present.
Course topics
This African Studies course will cover topics including:
- Influences throughout the Diaspora with a focus on Canada, the Caribbean, and the United States
- The social, economic and political structures that form these diverse societies and cultures
- Historical forces that form the foundation of these communities
- Influences of selected individuals and groups in Africa and the Diaspora
- Innovations, inventions, and ideas that have emerged in these societies and influenced world history
Skills and knowledge
Throughout the course, students will gain a deep knowledge and understanding about the African people's heritage. They will develop skills including:
